Student Success Statement
“A man
Without a goal
Is like a ship
Without a
Rudder”
Thomas Carlyle
Reflection: I think he is trying to say that if you have goals you’ll know where to go and how to get there but if you have no goals it won’t take you anywhere. I want to be an automotive engineer and to do that i know that I have to set goals so I can reach it and become what I truly want to become. A rudder is an example to just make you reach your goal and become whatever you really want to become or do.

Student Success Statement
“If there is beauty in character,
There will be harmony in the home.
If there is harmony in the home,
There will be order in the nation.
If there is order in the nation,
There will be peace in the world.
Conclusion:
If there is beauty in the character,
There will be peace in the world
Reflection: I think that this means if we all work as one and we care for one-another, we can and will accomplish more that we can think of.
“The Six Pillars of Character”
1.          Trustworthiness - Build trust and credibility with integrity (consistency between beliefs, words and actions), honesty (truthfulness, sincerity and candor), promise –keeping, and loyalty (fidelity to fairly, friends, and country).
2.       Respect – Honor the worth and dignity of all individuals. Treat others the way you would want to be treated. Act courteously, civilly, peaceably, and nonviolently. Be tolerant and accepting of differences. Avoid rude, offensive, and abusive words and actions.
3.         Responsibilities – Be accountable for your words, actions, and attitudes. Exercise self-control. Strive for excellence and self-improvement. Plan ahead. Set a good example for others. Be self-reliant, prudent, proactive, persistent, and hard-working.
4.        Fairness – Be consistent, open, and treat all people with equitably. Consider all sides and make decisions on the facts without favoritism or prejudice. Play by the rules, avoid careless accusations, and don’t take undue advantage of others. Pursue justice and condemn injustice.
5.        Caring – Be kind, compassionate, empathetic, charitable, forgiving, and grateful.
6.        Citizenship – Obey laws in good faith. Do your share to improve the well-being of fellow citizens and the community. Protect the environment, volunteer, and participate in the processes of democracy by standing informed and voting.
Reflection: I think these are just like similar steps to becoming a good and CTR person.

“Nicest Man in the World.”
Patrick Morgan
Florida
Reflection: I think he is a great person inside because if I had lost $13,000 dollars I would also have liked it if someone came and gave it to me rather than keeping it to themselves. Patrick was a man who worked in a airport when he found an I pad with $13,000 dollars inside the case, he returned it to the owner and got a $60 reward and $625 from his boss. He also gave some money to a homeless lady he cares for.
Student Success Statement
“The reward for doing
Right is mostly an
Internal phenomenon:
Self-respect, dignity
(self-worth), integrity,
And self-esteem.”
Dr. Laura Schlesinger
Reflection: I think that she is trying to say that if you do bad you’ll never feel good about it and yourself.
LAUSD: Students
1.          Summer School
2.       Community Services
3.         Online Classes
These services will benefit you because if you don’t understand or need to make up credits, these will help you in both ways.

If I had to choose one of the three services listed above, I would tak summer school for my first choice and secondly community services. I chose these because I like to work with someone and if I needed help I could always ask rather than online you have to either get the question wrong or just not do it and I think you will always understand a problem when someone shows you how to do it.
