“Our very business in life is not to get ahead of others… but to get ahead of ourselves.

Reflection: I think this quote means that we should not worry about other people being ahead of us, but to just worry about how you are doing individual.

Duties and Responsibilities: Allopathic physicians diagnose and treat conditions that affect every area of the body Medical doctors also perform check-ups to screen for any developing medical conditions and diseases and to prevent illness. Doctors then develop treatment plans using prescriptions medications, surgery, and other treatment methods.
Salary: 100,000-300,000$
Education: Other than teaching manipulation, undergraduate medical training for an osteopathic degree (D.O) is now virtually indistinguishable from that which leads to the M.D. degree.
Reflection: I probably would not be one because the job looks boring but you get paid very well. This type of job is not in my interest to become or study to be one.

“Real wealth is not so much what we have as what we are.”
Sterling W. Sill
Reflection: I think that Sterling W. Sill is trying to say that even though you are rich and have everything you want you might not always be happy and if you are not that rich you still might live a happier life than the others.Money might not always bring you happiness.

Acupuncture
Duties and Responsibilities: Doctors of acupuncture use implements such as herbs and needles to restore the energy flow and relieve injuries and pain in patients. The underlying tenet in acupuncture is that pain or illness develops when there is an interruption in the body energy.
Salary: 75,000-80,000$ each year
Education: You have to have a master’s degree and they put you in a master’s program that teaches you different treating methods. Once you have your master’s, you have to study for around 3-4 years.
Reflection: I would not like to become an acupuncture because it does not sound like an interesting job for me. I would rather get a job that is not that boring and that would teach me interesting things.
